Giveaway!
Anytime is good time for a giveaway, am I right? The sweet ladies over at Shabby Apple contacted us about giving away this 90 Words per Minute dress, and I immediately jumped at the chance. I have always loved Shabby Apple clothes not just for the style, but for the fact that you can look beautiful while being modest-- a definite plus. It goes right back to what the dress was always meant to be: a one-piece outfit.
.
So, not only do I have a giveaway for you today, but also a coupon code just for you: fiddlesticksandfunnygirls10off. Just enter it at checkout, and count your savings up until August 28th. I have been coveting this dress lately, so I may just have to buy it now that I have an excuse :)
.
So, a little bit about Shabby Apple for those who are new to the site. Not only do they supply women with style, but rock it out in the maternity, toddler, and brand new preteen lines. Stop by the accessory and shoe sections, and you are covered! Their styles are classic, yet modern and look at place on any size, shape, or personality. The best part about Shabby Apple is their contributions towards Unitus, a group dedicated to help working women and their families. 1.6 million families in India have been touched. Amazing. While 5% of Shabby Apple's profits support more work in India, shoppers can help out even more by donating each time they purchase from the website.
.So, have I got your attention? If you want to be entered into the giveaway, you can do so 2 different ways:
.
1. Leave a comment on this post
2. Link back to this giveaway on your own blog and get your name put in twice. (Create another comment and tell me about your link)
.
.
All entries will be accepted until Monday, August 3rd, 12 pm MT. I will pick the winner later that day.

Update: Thanks for all those that participated in the giveaway. Entries are now closed.

Bewitching
It's the weekend already? These past few days have been going by so fast! I guess that is what happens when you are super busy. Sorry about the lack of posting-- we have been working on our postcard swap, though, so at least that is semi-productive :) On Wednesday, Megan and I saw the new Harry Potter movie-- fantastic! It reminded me of an editorial of Emma Watson I saw recently, so I thought I would post it. I love the colors! She looks great!
.
Have a good weekend! Off to the Farmers Market tomorrow-- I'll take some pics :)

Looking Back
Aren't these images so cool? There is no other word other than that-- cool. There is nothing like bringing the past into the future. I would love to try this out for myself. These are by the talented Jason Powell. Check out his flickr stream here for more pics.

Good to Know
Happy Monday! I hope everyone had a good weekend-- I started sewing a new pattern I made inspired by this JCrew shirt, so hopefully I will finish it later this week.
.
Looking for some creativity advice? Or just some plain ol' good reading? I found a link to this website a while ago, and loved how it has become an outlet for aspiring artists to showcase their work. They put together an online magazine called "Good to Know" with advice from artists/illustrators/designers on creativity, business, and life. Definitely up my alley. Plus, you can't beat the price :) The info is here, with a small preview here.
.
Thanks to everyone who signed up for the swap! I will send out the emails tomorrow, so be on the lookout! Also, if there is any last minute sign-ups, feel free to email, even if you only want to receive a postcard from us :)
.
Here's hoping for a good week!

Swappin' time.
So, Megan and I have been thinking about doing something fun during the summer on the ol' blog, and decided, what better way to celebrate the wonderful season than to capture its magic with a simple postcard?
.
Interested? The rules are as follows:
.
1. Create x amount of postcards with summer in mind (Think photographs and collages, sounds, smells, and stories, art and handwritten messages. Your interpretation is endless.)
2. Sign up by Sunday night, July 12, by either leaving a comment (with email) or through our own personal email. (Those participating will receive additional information after the sign ups are closed.)
3. Send out your cards by August 1st.
.
So make yourself some lemonade, settle down on the grass, and exercise your creative juices. Summon up memories of beach towels and sunbathing, sprinklers and picnics under the shade, yellow straw hats and t-strapped sandals. Wait glamorously as summer arrives on your doorstep one tidbit at a time.

Welcome back Monday! I may be lovin' the day off, but I sure do miss the weekend. How was everybody's 4th? For me, lets just say I was exhausted when the day was done. Lots of food, sun, and family can make a girl ready for a good night's sleep.

If you are looking for some eye candy, stop by at this website for a weekday treat. There is seriously some amazing photos. Make sure to stop by the Audrey section too. I just adore all the shots!

Holiday Houses
Happy 4th of July Weekend! I am so excited to spend some time outdoors with good food, friends, and family. What are your plans?
.
So, yesterday, I was watching The Holiday (Cameron Diaz and Kate Winslet) for about the millionth time, and kept wishing that I could live in Kate/Iris's house. Isn't it divine? Cameron/Amanda's house is just as cute. I found these close up pictures for the sets-- maybe you'd like to take a peek. The movie's writer, Nancy Meyer, had the help of her personal interior designer, James Radin, to create the ambiance. Here are the interiors:
