Drool Worthy

Melissa and I are in the midst of finals week, so blogging will be sporadic this week and the first of next week. Please forgive us for our absence, we will try to post when we can find some snippets of time.
.
Hope you guys have a good week. Hope to be back soon.
.
I thought I would leave you with this beautiful dress from the Kate Spade 2010 Spring line, seen on the Olivet blog. Don't you love those ruffles piped in red. I think I NEED this dress! I have to start saving up my money right now!

The Girls with Glasses

Brooke White (singer/songwriter and American Idol alum) and Summer Bellessa (model and editor of Eliza Magazine) have joined forces, creating The Girls with Glasses Show.
.
I first saw their video on The Flowerchild Dwelling and it really is too cute!
.
I would love to know where they found all the vintage dresses seen in the video...I was drooling over all of them!
.
Hope everyone has a good weekend. You really must go and watch the video. I am sure it will make you wishing you had all kinds of funky glasses to wear.

Snoflake

These pictures were featured on the Simplesong blog, showcasing the Summer 2010 Snoflake Collection by Debbie Sutton. I particularly love the top left photo.
.
Vintage + feminine + a bike = Love
.
Hope everyone has had a lovely Thursday. Friday is almost here and I am ready for the weekend to come!
.
Anyone have any fun plans this weekend?

Creativity before Consumption

The other day I stumbled upon the fabulous home of Emily Henson, a prop stylist and decorator, who lives in northeast Los Angeles, in a 700-square foot bungalow. "A big believer in the importance of personal touches, nearly every inch of the home has seen Emily's paintbrush or been customized in someway". Emily's motto is "creativity before consumption" and this is definitely extended throughout her entire home.
.
Her experience as a Display Coordinator for Anthropologie can be seen throughout every room. I particularly love the green velvet sofa (an Urban Outfitters piece found via craigslist) and the open cabinets in the kitchen showcasing all of Emily's bright wares. This is getting tucked right away into my inspiration file.
.
Enjoy!

The Brass Petal

I found this room today styled by Emily Henderson, who writes on her blog The Brass Petal: Emily Henderson's guide to all things stylish...or so she thinks. She definitely has such an eye for amazing and impeccable style.
.
I want to steal the flower pillow that is on the floor. I absolutely love that fabric.
.
I also love the collection of frames grouped on the wall, and would love to recreate that look for my own room.
.
What do you think of this room? Love it or hate it?

Looking forward to Fall...

J.Crew's Fall 2010 Ready to Wear collection was featured on Style and I must say this makes me giddy for fall!
.
The collection was defined on Style as "Edie Beale goes to Girl Scout camp". The line is filled with "rumpled chambray button-downs, boyfriend chinos, utility jackets, and tweedy coats...accessorized to the hilt with Albertus Swanepoel hats, brooches, and necklaces galore, textured tights, ankle socks, and desert boot wedges, as well as spangled, fur trimmed shoulder bags".
.
Melissa and I are both coveting the tweed coat in the first picture. We might both have to purchase it for our new winter coats this year!
.
Even though I was tempted to post every single picture...you really must go look at the rest of the collection. I promise by the end you will be wishing to skip summer and head right into fall.
.
Hope everyone had a lovely Easter weekend. Sorry about the light posting last week. Finals are coming and all my big projects were due, but this week I have less homework and more time to post!

Paris, 1962

Oh, to be in Paris. Doesn't that sound divine? Especially today. Of all days, why does there have to be snow on the ground on Easter? That is what my morning was like. I hope the weather is a lot more warm wherever you may be. Wishing you a great day!
