Ring in the New Year

I hope everyone had a wonderful Christmas filled with family and friends. New Years is up next and this year we will follow our annual tradition and watch Charade while waiting to ring in the New Year.

Looking for interior inspiration? I always find myself wanting to redecorate and organize once the new year starts to roll around-- get rid of the old, in with the new. Hello December!!

I can't believe it has been so long since Mel or I last posted. November quickly left...and December is now here.
.

School this time of year is so busy. Finals officially start on Monday and I have been constantly cramming for all my tests. I am sure those of you that endure finals week...know how busy and crazy things can get.
.

On another note, as I was looking around Martha Stewart's website, I ran across a wonderful gallery filled with different ways to package cookies for the holidays. I especially love the Mix-and-Match cookies seen above, as well as the recipe booklet containing a collection of holiday recipes. I think these are wonderful ideas for neighbor or friend or family gifts. What do you think?

Winter 2009

I hope that everyone had a lovely Thanksgiving holiday. It was a much needed break and I now feel refreshed enough to finish off the rest of the semester.

Apple Week

Over at A Field Journal, Livy has been featuring a different apple treat for everyday of the week. This apple crisp especially caught my eye. It screams of fall, don't you think? Mel and I will have to pull out the ingredients and whip us up a batch this Thanksgiving weekend.

I first spotted this amazing stationary on Oh Joy! This is the shop of illustrator Anna Bond that just opened up today. I must say I love those recipe cards featured above. What a fun gift those would be for the upcoming holiday season.
