Weekend Wishes

Happy Halloween! Wishing everyone a night full of treats (cause really, what else is better?) Any good costumes out there? I am thinking I might channel Amelia Earhart this year.
.
I just wanted to share this site I stumbled on the other day that sells original vintage posters. Some of the designs are so amazing! Stop over and peek just for the sake of looking-- you won't be disappointed, or leave uninspired.
.
Until next time:)

Oh Anthropologie

For those of you that haven't heard, Anthropologie has teamed up with Sundance Channel to create the new show Man Shops Globe. The show follows Keith Johnson the main buyer for Anthropologie as he travels the globe finding "unusual and inspiring objects to sell in Anthropologie stores". He truly has the most amazing job in the world.
.
The first show premiered on October 7 and a few others have aired. Mel and I watched the last episodes and have fallen in love with the show. You must watch. The shows are so full of inspiration and introduce new artists that have been featured in Anthropologie stores. Oh Anthropologie...what do they not do?

Have fun watching.

Ready for Fall?

Is it really Wednesday already? This week has flown by. Melissa and I have been so busy with school this week...it is been crazy. While looking at The Satorialist today I ran across this picture. I love, love this girls outfit. The Chanel quilted bag, large black glasses, printed scarf, and plaid bottoms. I want it all! As I was walking around campus today, it suddenly set in that fall has officially arrived. I am definitely hoping to achieve this sort of inspiration for my fall wardrobe. What kinds of things are you incorporating into your wardrobes for the fall weather?
.
Have a good day. See you soon.

All Hallows Eve

For those of you in the Halloween spirit or those of you who want to be in the Halloween spirit, I have a project for you! I saw this garland featured on Candice's blog back in 2007 and fell in love with the garland that she and her mom constructed. Mainly consisting of paper and glitter, this project is low cost but super spooky. The instructions can be viewed on Candice Stringham Photography. If anyone decides to make this, let me know, I would love to see pictures.

a lovely home

For those of you that read the blog Nectar and Light, know that Jen Altman has an amazing and particular style. I stumbled upon pictures of her home featured in Design*Sponge a few weeks ago and fell in love with the interior shots. These are definitely going into my inspiration file for my future home.

Style on the Stove

...
Nothing says the holidays better than one of mom's home cooked meals. Spruce up the kitchen this season with some homey accessories. I love the whole feel-- I have always been a sucker for cooking goodies. Maybe its time to restock:)
.
Happy Monday!

Happy Friday!

I don't have that much time for a post...so I thought I would leave you with one of my favorite Rodney Smith pictures. He is so talented isn't he?
.
Hope everyone has a happy weekend.

To Be A Wild Thing

Where the Wild Things Are Movie is out in theaters tomorrow. Inspired from the popular children's book, the movie takes a new approach by using real life actors to portray the story. On the website Boom, they have started a fort building contest for the new release of Where the Wild Things Are. Entries have poured in, showing all the innovative ways forts can be built, with all kinds of different materials. I personally love the second picture down, it looks so soft and dreamy.
.
If you want to enter the contest go here. If you don't want to enter, but want to participate, set a goal and make a fort this weekend. Then camp out with your favorite friends, eat popcorn, snuggle into the fort, and watch a movie!
.
See you on Friday.

Goodbye Thursday, Hello Friday!

Tomorrow officially marks the weekend ahead, and I couldn't be more excited! It has been a long week of late nights and homework for both Mel and I. I thought I would post a few of my favorite things that have been spotted around the web.
.
A unique way to record the year

.
and finally a headboard to die for (p.s you can make one like this too!)
.
Hope you have a good weekend. Goodbye Thursday, Hello Friday!

Dress Rehearsal

First spotted on Great Full Day, Lindsey has been featuring her love of ballet through everyday clothes inspired from a beautiful, graceful art form. I have always loved ballet since I was little and remember always wanting to be as elegant and refined as the prima ballerinas I watched in the Nutcracker. Although my dream of becoming a prima ballerina ballet never did come to life, I would love wearing ballet inspired clothes for my daily wear.
.
Head on over to Ladies Home Journal and peruse the lovely photos and then head on over to Great Full Day and see all of Lindsey's picks on how we can incorporate ballet inspired fashion into our everyday lives.
.
Hope you are having a good Tuesday!
