Stripes, Sequins, and Cheeky Tights

Ack! Has it been a whole week already? Sorry for the absence, but school has been kicking my butt lately. I know, I know, lame excuse- will you forgive me anyway:) ?

So, this fall I have noticed fashion playing with color, pattern, and texture. I love in this spread they use menswear details jazzed up with a few playful sparkles :) I would love to add some of this style inspiration to my wardrobe this fall.

Butterfly Kisses

The moment I saw these engagement pictures...I had to share the love. They have been floating throughout the blog-o-sphere for a couple of weeks, so many of you have probably already seen them, but they are amazing aren't they? These pictures captured by Sloan Photographers just take my breath away. Butterfly kisses, colorful and funky outfits, and soft lighting at the end of a summer day. What more could you ask for? I just love, love, love, all of her freckles that can be seen in the first picture. Hope you are having a good start to the week ahead. I am off to finish the rest of my homework for tomorrow. Chalkboard Paint...in Color!

I am so excited that tomorrow is Friday...officially marking the start to another weekend. A couple of weeks ago as I was looking at different blogs, I ran across an article in Cookie Mag introducing chalk board paint....in color! Hudson Paint has just come out with a new line of 24 different colors of chalkboard paint ranging from Sweet Tangerine to Mercantile Red. I must say, when I first saw this I started thinking about all the possibilities to be had painting on walls, doors, desks, etc.

Take a look at the article featured in Cookie Mag by Joanna Goddard, and then head on over to Hudson Paint and order a gallon of your favorite color. The possibilities are endless...

Hiding Away

It is almost mid-week and what I wouldn't give to be hiding out in one of these tents, eating Bon Bons and reading a favorite book. Don't you think these tents look dreamy? This would be so fun for a birthday party with friends...each sharing a tent with their best bud and imagination happening into all hours of the night.

Lovely Interiors

I stumbled upon a website a few weeks ago called, Hooked on Houses. There are all kinds of interior shots posted, but one section in particular is on Celebrity Houses. This is where I found the $6.9 million dollar country home of Reese Witherspoon that she recently bought in Ojai, California.

.

The pictures featured above appeared in House Beautiful, when it was owned by interior designer, Kathryn M. Ireland. She described the home stating that she loved the "classic Spanish architecture, but [it also had] a sense of bohemian fun, comfortable and loose". These rooms are definitely drool worthy. I love all of the bright colors that Kathryn used against a neutral backdrop, consisting of rock, hardwood flooring, and bright white paint. I am sure if there were pictures on the site featuring the home now owned by Reese, they would be just as impressive.

Liv Love

School is started....it is now officially time to hit the books. Sorry you didn't see a post from us on Tuesday. With the start of a new semester comes the frantic beginnings of studying, late nights, and total exhaustion. I am in between classes right now and I thought I would take a minute to post some Liv Tyler love.

After re-watching The Incredible Hulk a few days ago with my sister, I really began to notice again how stunning Liv Tyler is. (Especially in those dark green glasses she wears in the movie. I am still trying to figure out the brand of them, anyone know?) I am currently obsessed with her short hair do and would love it if my hair would cooperate this beautifully. Take a look at these pictures I posted, then go Google her name and expect to find some really amazing shots of her both on and off the red carpet.
