Small Magazine

I am officially 3 hours away from the holiday. I am dying!! Since I have a break before my next class full of British Lit fun, I decided to post about an online magazine called Small magazine. It is so cute, and has the best pictures, cute ideas, art features, and a brownie recipe I am dying to try out. Here are some of the pages that are my favorite below:

I would love a dress like this, and the yellow one below. Sometimes kids have the best fashions!

There's the recipe. Don't those look yummy?
.
So here's something for your day if you have a minute to spare.
.
Have a great afternoon! I'm sure you deserve it.

Randomness

Yes... I'm random. But I still love it.
.
I wasn't sure what to post about, I have been kind of in a slump. My life right now is constant studying, so no fun inspiration or projects or anything. Sad. Here are some of the things on my mind today:
.
my new anthropologie goodies traveling to me in the mail:
this and this
my new email button provided by the lovely oh, hello friend
this recipe for meyer lemon and fresh cranberry scones (see the pic below)

.
Anyone have any fall recipes that are yummy? I love to cook, but I especially love baking good desserts. Unfortunately, that pastime has recently been pushed to the side, but hopefully I can pick it back up again during these holiday weeks. What better time to do it!
.
Anyways, have a great Friday tomorrow, I can't wait for the weekend to start!

Hi friends...

Long time no see. I have been swamped. Why does life like to hit you right at the same time with everything? I think that is a question I'll be asking myself many many times. Well, not to worry, I am stress free for a couple of days, so I will be around to post.
.
Some thoughts on my mind:
.
love the neutral pallet of these rooms
whether to buy these boots
how to teach Gulliver's Travels for 50 min.
plaid
what perfume I should get (any suggestions?)
loveliness at anthropologie
high heeled t-straps
.
I'll be back tomorrow for more posting, random thoughts, you name it. Keep on the lookout for some fun news-- I can't wait to spill the secret... lets just say, it includes a giveaway. But I won't say more and ruin the surprise.
.
Here's looking forward to a lovely tomorrow!

.

Just Some Random Stuff

So, weekends are always my favorite because I usually get to fit something fun in, and actually have some semblance of a life. I sewed a little this weekend on the shirt I'm working on in between studying, so I will post pics when it comes a little further along, preferably when they aren't just pattern pieces in a stack. I did post some pics on the tank top I made a while back below. I did another version with ruffles, but it is currently pinned up the wazoo to help me with altering the pattern, so the full pic won't come until later. I really like how the shape is, and it was super fast. The only part that is tricky was the hand sewing (which I actually love doing), the top stitching (making sure it is all even), and the self-made bias tape around the arm hole.

Me and Megan also worked on our ATCs for a swap we are doing with the lovely Heather. (Don't peek if you are reading this!) Megan's is the first, and mine is the one with the shoes. The great thing about ATCs are that they are small enough that you don't have to worry about filling it up, and really easy and fun to make.

.For the next little while, I'm going to be concentrating on my upcoming test and getting my Halloween costume ready. After going back and forth, I think I have decided on being a 40s girl. I have some vintage dresses I might try out.
.
Have fun with all of your Halloween preparations! It will be here before you know it!
.
Thanks for all the comments ladies! It really does make my day!
